What You’ll Do

Contract Details

Work availability: Weekdays and Weekends, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Contract type: Freelance, Self-Employed (with option to transfer to full-time PAYE contract after 3 months, subject to performance and reliability)

Holiday entitlement: Not applicable under self-employment (time off is your choice).

Pension scheme: Not applicable under self-employment.

Key Responsibilities
-
Deliver professional window cleaning services to 10–20 customers per day (full training provided).
-
Completing a van and equipment condition check before and after each shift via app.
-
Ensure a high standard of service, representing Swash in a professional manner at all times.
-
Follow assigned work schedules, routes, and customer instructions.
-
Wear full uniform and ID when on duty.
What We Provide

Fully equipped company van, insured for work use.

Fuel card for business mileage.

Ongoing training and support.
Practical Expectations
-
Physical role requiring outdoor work in all weather conditions.
-
Full, clean UK driving license required.
-
Operatives must keep the van clean, safe, and roadworthy, and return it daily after use.
Pay (Freelance Contract)
-
£10 per cleaning job completed satisfactorily.
-
Minimum of 15 cleaning jobs per day guaranteed when work is available.
-
Payouts are paid to you weekly by bank transfer. 1 Week in arrears.
-
Operatives are self-employed and responsible for their own tax and NI contributions.
-
All van, insurance, and fuel costs are covered by the company.
Example you complete 75 cleaning jobs over 5 days. The next week we pay you £750.
Progression Option (PAYE Contract)
-
After 3 months on the freelance contract, operatives who demonstrate good performance, reliability, and professionalism may be offered a full-time PAYE employment contract.

PAYE terms include:
-
£2,670 per month gross salary (based on a minimum 40 hours per week).
-
Statutory holiday pay, pension contributions, and sick pay.
-
All van, insurance, and fuel costs remain covered by the company.

Key Responsibilities
Team & Round Management
-
Lead and supervise a team of window cleaning operatives, ensuring 10–20 customers are serviced per van each day.
-
Create, manage, and optimise daily and weekly work schedules, adjusting for holidays, sickness, and workload balancing.
-
Allocate vans and equipment, ensuring each operative is prepared and routes are efficient.
-
Monitor team performance, handling lateness, absence, or underperformance.
-
Run regular team briefings and provide ongoing support to operatives.
Customer Service & Communication
-
Act as the first point of contact for customer queries, complaints, and reschedules.
-
Handle refunds, credits, or service recovery where necessary to maintain customer satisfaction.
-
Collect feedback and monitor customer satisfaction to ensure high service standards.
Recruitment & Training
-
Assist with recruitment and onboarding of new operatives.
-
Deliver training on cleaning techniques, equipment use, and company processes.
-
Ensure all operatives follow company standards and health & safety practices.
Operations & Administration
-
Maintain accurate customer records in the cloud-based system.
-
Order and manage stock of consumables, PPE, and cleaning supplies.
-
Conduct regular van and equipment inspections, logging condition and maintenance needs.
-
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and insurance records.
Reporting & Business Support
-
Provide weekly and monthly reports on performance, turnover, and customer retention.
-
Escalate only major issues (legal, financial, or critical operational problems) to the business owner.
-
Work independently to keep the round running smoothly with minimal oversight.

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

Full, clean UK driving licence preferred.
Pay
-
Starting salary: £2,670 per month PAYE (~£32,000 per year).
-
Progression: As the business grows, there will be scope to increase this to £35,000+ per year to reflect greater responsibility and performance.

Additional benefits: 28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays), statutory pension, company laptop & phone, uniform, PPE, and use of company vans for operational duties.
